After helping Sydney Gordon safe a spot on season 28 of The Bachelor, Ashley Iaconetti is coming to her defense following the tense Monday, February 5, episode of the ABC collection.
"Please be sort to our good friend," Ashley, 35, wrote alongside a selfie with Sydney, 28, and fellow Bachelor alum Jill Chin by way of Instagram Tales. "Typically you just should have been there to know why individuals made the strikes they did."
Ashley and husband Jared Haibon, who wed in 2019, work with Sydney in Rhode Island on their social media pages. They previously teased to Us Weekly that Sydney might be at odds with the ladies competing for Joey Graziadei's affections.
"She is going to play a task," Ashley advised Us last month, with Jared, 35, adding that "she'll be featured."

Ashely continued: "We do not know what her story line's going to seem like because we've heard the story."
The arc began enjoying out during week 2 when Sydney informed Madina that Maria had made comments about her in the mansion. Whereas Madina, 31, and Maria, 29, have (type of) moved on from the argument over Maria allegedly belittling Madina's insecurities about being the oldest lady on the show, Sydney is now in the scorching seat for mentioning the drama to Joey and claiming Maria "verbally attacked her" and referred to as her "embarrassing, bizarre and dumb," which Maria denied.
"We hear Sydney say that she's referred to as her weird … stupid and embarrassing, and then there were a couple different issues that I've heard that she's referred to as her nevertheless it didn't make air," Ashley informed Ben Higgins on their "Almost Famous" podcast after Monday's episode aired. "You'd need to assume that Sydney is making that up, that she totally made that up out of thin air and informed Joey about that so she's a liar, or you'll be able to assume that you simply just didn't see her saying that on TV. But I feel as a result of there's — seemingly — that is all an argument over nothing and it definitely isn't just about Madina and the previous remark, let's just overlook about that, that does not exist in my thoughts, barely during this episode. I feel there's a whole lot of context missing, and that's what I'll say."

She added: "I'm not using it as an excuse as a result of I'm saying based mostly on what I see on TV, it looks like an argument about nothing. And I'm positive it's not an argument about nothing."
Ben, nevertheless, wasn't satisfied.
"I see anyone obsessive about inflicting battle with Maria for no matter purpose — whatever we're seeing, not seeing, experiencing or not. … [Sydney] is gorgeous. She is assured. Obviously, you stated it, so I've to trust you. She's cool. She's received a lot happening," he stated. "[So], Sydney, what are you doing? Give it up."
