DISNEY'S latest musical fantasy film, Encanto, will be available to watch on Disney+ on December 24 \- a month after it was released in cinemas. So what is this the new adventure all about and what does Encanto mean?

According to Collins Dictionary, Encanto means ...the allure of something or someone is the pleasing or exciting quality they have.... The word can be used to describe many things – people, traditions and magic spells \- all of which are key elements of the film. As with most Disney movies, Encanto is filled with a star-studded cast including Wilmer Valderrama, John Leguizamo, and Stephanie Beatriz voicing the lead role of Mirabel. It also features an original score composed by Germaine Franco, with eight original songs written and composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda. What is the Disney film Encanto about? Encanto will take place in the mountains of Colombia and revolve around a teenage girl who struggles to find her place in her family and village. It tells the story of 15-year-old Mirabel who lives in an enchanted place where every child gets extraordinary powers except herself. However, when her family's magic becomes endangered, she must use her ordinary gifts to save Encanto.

Encanto hits theaters in the US on November 24, 2021 and will be available to watch on Disney+ from December 24. The film will not only be released in English but in Spanish as well across the US, over 250 theaters will be showing the Spanish version of the film. It looks to be another huge hit for Disney as it currently sits at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes with over 170 reviews by critics. The audience are also loving the new animation, giving it a score of 93%.
