DAN Orlovsky kicked off Thursday's episode of First Take with an enormous slice of humble pie.
Following Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' choice to retain head coach Mike McCarthy simply days after another devastating playoff loss, Orlovsky was left fuming.

"I've to apologize to both Stephen A. [Smith] and Marcus [Spears]," Orlovsky stated. "They've had the Cowboys pinned for 2 years now."
He went on to say the Cowboys "Can't play in January," adding, "They persistently play properly September to December they usually can't play in January."
Orlovsky went on to confess that he had "Purchased the lie when Jerry Jones stated that he stays up at night time, and you may hear, for those who stroll by means of Dallas at night time, you'll hear him desirous about the Cowboys and getting back to another Super Bowl.
"I truthfully believed that was crucial thing. It's not.
"An important thing to Jerry Jones is comfort.
"He chases comfort on a constant foundation on the subject of the decision-making at the Cowboys."
Exactly which feedback Orlovsky was referring to is unclear.
He then turned specifically to a quote from Jones' official statement, reflecting on their current loss and on his choice to retain McCarthy.
"Our loss on Sunday is shared by everybody here, not simply Coach McCarthy," Jones wrote.
"Our players. Our coaches. Our front office. Myself. There's accountability for our outcomes. I'm accountable for our outcomes."
Orlovsy clearly took situation with these feedback.
"The second thing that I don't perceive, when in his quote he stated 'We're all accountable.' Who is being held accountable?" he asked.
"You're preserving the top coach. You obviously aren't altering the coordinator cause he's the playcaller.
"Your defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, if he doesn't head coach [position] is more than probably going to be back because the defensive coordinator.
"And also you're going to pay the quarterback (Dak Prescott) who in the final three playoff losses has been poor, much more money than you have already got."
Whether or not or not the Cowboys will make any modifications to coordinators or at quarterback this offseason remains to be seen.
Either means, Orlovsky seems to have misplaced religion in the Cowboys, who have gone 12-5 for every of the last three seasons, throughout which era they've gone 1-Three within the playoffs.
